LAS CRUCES, N.M. (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's Cindy Hu lost her singles match on Sunday but will play in Monday's doubles semifinals of the ITA Mountain Regional on the campus of New Mexico State.
 
Hu and partner Coco Zhao, seeded eighth, downed Boise State's Paula Schaefer and Bhatki Shah, 8-3, in quarterfinals action. The final is set for Tuesday.
 
In singles, Hu was ousted by Zdena Safarova of Boise State, 6-2, 6-3.
 
Each of the 2024 ITA Men's and Women's Division I Regional Championships will see two singles finalists (26) qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship. Meanwhile, the doubles champion from each region (13) will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
