LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's soccer head coach
Jenny Williams announced the promotion of
Jenna Olson to associate head coach Monday.
"I'm so thrilled to honor Jenna for her dedication and commitment to our program," said Williams. "She brings so much passion to the team and the love she has for our program is unmatched. There is nobody more deserving."
The former Rebel goalkeeper (2002-05), who was a three-time All-Mountain West selection, is coming off her fourth year on her former teammate Williams' staff after they both returned to the program prior to the 2020-21 season.
During the recent 2023 fall season, Olson helped guide the Scarlet & Gray to its third season with a .500 or better overall record (7-7-6) in the past four years, a school-record .700 road win percentage (6-2-2) and the program's best road start as they went unbeaten (4-0-2) through their first six contests as a visitor.
As a student-athlete, Olson – formerly Huff – etched her name in the school record book with top program marks in career shutouts (26), career goals against average (0.90) and season goals against average (0.34 in 2005). Originally from Huntington Beach, California, Olson earned her degree in kinesiology/health sciences at UNLV in 2006.
