LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — UNLV men's soccer junior
Hugo Lemos was named the WAC Goalkeeper of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. This marks his fifth career weekly award and the first by a Rebel this season.
A native of A Coruna, Spain, Lemos anchored the Rebels' backline (4-4-5, 1-0-3 WAC) as they remained unbeaten in WAC play with a 2-0 shutout victory over Air Force. He made two saves on the Falcons' only two shots on goal, while also improving his league-best goals against average in conference matches to 0.50.
The latest clean sheet by Lemos marked his fifth of the season, while the Scarlet & Gray improved its overall unbeaten streak to five matches.
