UNLV men's basketball under new leadership in head coach Josh Pastner.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's basketball team will return to the Thomas & Mack Center on Tuesday, October 28, to host Lincoln University (California) for its second and final exhibition game of the season. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.

This game marks the Las Vegas debut for the Runnin' Rebels under their new head coach, Josh Pastner. Although new to UNLV, Pastner is entering his 15th year as a collegiate head coach, having previously led Memphis and Georgia Tech for seven seasons each. He holds a career record of 276-187 (.596).

For the 2025-26 season, UNLV's roster has only one returning player, Jacob Bannarbie, and welcomes 13 new faces. The newcomers include eight Division I transfers, a former international professional, a junior college transfer, and three freshmen.

The Runnin' Rebels are coming off a 77-62 exhibition loss at Washington on Oct. 19, a game they played while missing six players because of injury. With just seven healthy scholarship players, Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn led the team with 14 points, while Naas Cunningham added 11.

MORE ABOUT THE ROSTER: This season's UNLV squad returns just one player from 2024-25: redshirt sophomore forward Jacob Bannarbie. The team features four seniors, three juniors, three sophomores, and three freshmen, with a position breakdown of seven guards, six forwards and a center. Last season, Bannarbie appeared in 19 games (three starts), averaging 1.6 points and 1.8 rebounds in 6.6 minutes, and shooting 52.9% from the field on 17 attempts.

The Oaklanders are led by head coach William Middlebrooks and feature a 10-man roster with five upperclassmen.
