PROVO, Utah (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's tennis still has a trio of singles players alive after Wednesday's Day 2 of the ITA Mountain Regional being staged on the campus of BYU.
 
Members from western teams are facing off each day in both singles and doubles through the finals on Saturday.
 
In singles, three of the four Rebels competing won their Round of 64 matches. Ninth-seeded 
Nikol Mircheva fought off Hayley Roberts of Utah, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4; 
Eszter Kis-Czako rallied past Rixt Der Werff of Colorado, 4-6, 6-4, 6-0; and Veronika Kliutch fought off Naomi Schrader of Idaho, 7-5, 7-5.
 
Both of UNLV's doubles entries lost their second round match on Wednesday.
 
As the second qualifying tournament for the 2025 NCAA Individual Championships, following the ITA Men's All-American Championships and the ITA Women's All-American Championships, the ITA Division I Regional Championships will continue over the next two weeks on college campuses across the country. With 13 regional tournaments being hosted on the men's and women's sides of play, the two singles finalists from each region (26 total) as well as the doubles champion from each region (13 total) will qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships through these Regional Championships.
