LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV Lady Rebels open Mountain West play on the road, visiting new conference foe Grand Canyon on Wednesday, Dec. 17 for a nationally televised contest on CBS Sports Network. The Lady Rebels and Lopes will tip-off at 5 p.m. PT/6 p.m. MT.
ABOUT GRAND CANYON: UNLV and GCU are tied 1-1 in the all-time series. This marks only the third ever meeting between the two programs and the first since the 2019-20 season. The 2025-26 MW season marks the first for GCU as the Lopes were declared a member of the conference in July 2025. The Lopes head into Wednesday's contest with a 1-9 overall record, with the lone win coming against SMU on Nov. 18. GCU is coming off a 91-72 loss to Santa Clara. Chloe Mann, the preseason MW Newcomer of the Year, currently leads GCU with 15.9 points per game. Julianna Lamendola is the leading rebounder for GCU, bringing down 5.5 boards per game.

LAST TIME ON THE COURT: The UNLV women's basketball team fell 65-48 against Cincinnati in the final non-conference game on Saturday afternoon at Fifth Third Arena. This marked the first meeting between the two squads.
Jasmyn Lott led the Lady Rebels with 16 points, while
Aaliyah Alexander was the second-leading scorer with 12 points, respectively.
Shelbee Brown brought down a team-high six rebounds.
Meadow Roland and
Destiny Brown each blocked three shots a piece.
SQUAD LEADERS: Jasmyn Lott leads the Scarlet & Gray in points per game, averaging 14.0 and she also leads the squad in made field goals with 5.3 per game.
Meadow Roland is the second leading scorer who is averaging 13.1 points per game and leads the team in rebounds with 9.4 per game.
Aaliyah Alexander leads the Lady Rebels in assists per game with 2.6. Alexander is also the third leading scorer on the squad, averaging 10.8 points per game.
NON-CONFERENCE WRAP: The Lady Rebels wrapped up non-conference play with a 5-5 overall record. UNLV's wins came against Washington State, DePaul, Creighton in the rematch of the 2023 NCAA First round, Northern Iowa and UTSA.
4X MOUNTAIN WEST REGULAR SEASON CHAMPS: The Lady Rebels continued to rise last season becoming the first Mountain West team since 2017 to collect four straight regular season titles. UNLV made a trip to the Women's Basketball Invitational Tournament (WBIT) and collected the first postseason victory in over two decades. The Scarlet & Gray claimed the league's Coach of the Year in
Lindy La Rocque and Freshman and Sixth Player of the Year for the second straight year with
Meadow Roland.
