LARAMIE, Wyo. (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis team lost in conference play for the first time this season, 4-1, playing indoors at altitude at Wyoming on Sunday.
The Rebels, who saw their six-match win streak snapped, fell to 13-4 overall and 4-1 in the Mountain West while the Cowgirls improved to 5-13 and 2-4
Wyoming took a 1-0 lead by easily winning doubles, taking matches at No. 1 and 3.
Senior
Coco Zhao downed Eugenia Ceinos at the third spot in singles, 6-4, 6-0, to give her team its only point. The Cowgirls swept sets at three other positions to clinch the overall victory.
UP NEXT: UNLV heads north for a showdown with UNR on Friday as part of the Silver State Series presented by America First Credit Union.
