LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – Fresh off winning the Mountain West Championship, the UNLV women's golf team found out its destination for NCAA Regionals on the Golf Channel Wednesday morning. Heading to their third NCAA postseason in the last four years, the Rebels will play in the Columbus Regional being hosted by Ohio State at Ohio State University Golf Club from May 5-7.
The Rebels drew the No. 7 seed in a 12-team field headlined by Arkansas as the No. 1 seed, No. 2 seed LSU, the No. 3 seed Buckeyes, No. 4 seed Kansas and No. 5 seed Houston. Among those teams, four are ranked in the Scoreboard Powered by Clippd top-25 rankings, including the No. 2 Razorbacks.Clippd top-25 rankings, including the No. 2 Razorbacks.
"We're really excited about going to Columbus," said UNLV head coach
Amy Bush-Herzer. "I think the golf course will be great - it's a championship course - and Ohio State does a wonderful job at anything they host. We can't wait to get there, see their golf course and compete against a great field of teams."
The top five teams and the top individual not on those teams at the 54-hole tournament will advance to the NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, being held May 16-21. One of six regional sites, OSU's home course joins Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club (host: Arizona State), Keene Trace Golf Club (host: Kentucky), Birdwood Golf Club (host: Virginia), The Rawls Course (host: Texas Tech) and Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club (host: Oklahoma) in hosting the 72-team field.
The Scarlet & Gray is coming off seven top-2 tournament finishes during the 2024-25 season, including their wins at the MW Championship and Denver's Ron Moore Intercollegiate. Additionally, the squad has seen seniors

McKenzi Hall (Jim West Challenge) and
Toa Yokoyama (Westbrook Invitational) each grab one second-place individual finish on the year.
