Box Score LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) –  Behind career nights from three players, UNLV women's soccer earned its first win of the season over UC Riverside, 3-0,  Thursday night at Peter Johann Memorial Field.

A lightning delay coming out of halftime couldn't halt the Rebels' (1-4-1) momentum after they built a first-half lead against the Highlanders (0-3-1). Senior midfielder Michelle Madrid netted her first career brace, senior Torie Reardon paired her first career goal with an assist for a career-best three points and sophomore Elesha Magley posted her first career shutout.

Madrid's goals came on headers into the back of the net off Reardon's free kick in the third minute and sophomore Summer Pyles' first assist of the season on a corner kick in the 73rd minute. Providing insurance in the 84th minute, Reardon scored on a penalty kick that was drawn by freshman Scarlette Druian.

In just her second start, Magley anchored the Scarlet & Gray backline that kept 10 UCR shots from reaching the net. She grabbed three saves and the win after 90 minutes in net.

STAT OF THE GAME: The Rebels were relentless on the attack en route to finishing with season-high shot counts, including 17 total shots and eight shots on goal. Those helped them best the three shots on target out of the Highlander's double-digit targets for the match.
