LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's basketball redshirt sophomore Meadow Roland has been named the Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Tuesday.

Roland has earned the recognition for the second time this season, while it's also the women's basketball team's third of the year.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.

A native of Fresno, California, Roland led the Lady Rebels to Mountain West  victories over Utah State and Wyoming. Over the two games, she shot .405 (15-of-37) from the field and averaged 18 points and 13 rebounds per contest.

At home vs. the Aggies, Roland recorded a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds to go along with three blocks. In a road win over the Cowgirls, Roland had her sixth double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Additionally, Roland helped the Lady Rebels improve to 6-0 in MW play for the second straight year.
