LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV rookie Marko Maksimovic has been named the Mountain West Men's Tennis Freshman of the Week for the second time this month, the league announced Wednesday.
 
Maksimovic, improved to 4-1 in his debut season with a trio of victories at the No. 2 spot in the lineup last weekend. Against then-No. 75 Pacific, he teamed up with Illia Maksymchuk for a 6-1 doubles win and then downed Christof Coffey, 7-5, 6-1. Facing No. 40 Santa Clara two days later, the native of Belgrade, Serbia, defeated Luca Lemaitre, 6-3, 6-3, in singles play.
 
The Rebels next host Grand Canyon in their opening MW match on Friday starting with doubles play at 1 p.m. Admission to all matches at the Fertitta Tennis Complex is free of charge.
