Zi Yu Foong holds the day-one lead while UNLV women's golf team sits in fourth place after Monday's opening rounds of the Lady Luck Invitational presented by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority at Las Vegas Country Club (Par 72, 6,529 yards).
REBEL ROUNDUP: Foong ended the day at 4-under 140 with a 2-under 70 in back-to-back rounds, including a bogey-free front nine in the first round. She holds a four-shot lead over Texas State's Grace Quintinalla (E) and Kent State's Veronika Kedroňová (E) in a tie for second.

Amber Chen (+5) and freshman
Demi Du join Foong (+7) in representing the Rebels in the top 25, as they stand tied for 19th and 23rd, respectively. Freshmen
Lana Yamagata (+12) in a tie for 44th and
Almina Erdogan (+17) in a tie for 64th follow them to make up the Scarlet & Gray lineup.
DAY-ONE LEADERBOARD: UNLV (+20) finds itself just two shots behind Houston in third place, while both look to close the double-digit advantage held by day-one leader UCF at 8-over through 36 holes. The Knights also lead Kent State (+10) by a two-shot margin.
Leading the Scarlet & Gray's four players competing as individuals, freshman Len Yiu (+1) shot a second-round even-par 70 to position herself in 36th. Also in that group are junior
Leonie Krausse (+13) in 50th, junior
Jane Huang (+14) in 54th and sophomore
Caitlin Shippam (+22) in 73rd.
