SCOUTING FRESNO STATE: Fresno State heads into the weekend with a 13-13 overall record and are 2-4 in league play. The Bulldogs dropped the last MW series 1-2 against Boise State. However, Fresno State is coming off a 7-1 victory over the Broncos. Jamie Hicks leads the Bulldogs' offense batting a .368 which includes a team-high four home runs and 18 RBI. Hicks additionally leads the team in slugging percentage with a .579. Olivia Hill leads Fresno State in on-base percentage with a .468. In the circle, Alyssa Ramirez holds a 1.48 ERA with a 2-1 overall record. Ramirez has made 10 appearances and pitched 23.2 innings. Lauryn Carranco leads the pitching staff in appearances with 16. Carranco holds a 2.57 ERA through 90.0 innings pitched. She is currently holding her opponents to a .212 batting average.

LAST TIME ON THE FIELD: The Rebels collected a 2-1 MW series victory against San Diego State on March 20-22. UNLV opened the series with a 4-3 win and in game two secured a 6-3 victory over the Aztecs. However, SDSU claimed game three 13-7. For the series, four different Rebels hit .571 (4-for-7), which includes
Bri Williams,
Keyannah Chavez,
Natalie Turner and
Rachel Cook. Williams had a double, a home run and two RBI against SDSU and crossed the plate three times for UNLV. Chavez had a home run and three RBI for the Rebels. She also crossed the plate once. Cook had two doubles, a triple and was tied for the team-high in RBI with four.
Lauren Fettic made an appearance in all three games including two starts. She collected the win on Friday night in relief.

NEXT SERIES: The Scarlet & Gray will be back on home turf to host Colorado State for a three-game MW series on Thursday, April 2 - Saturday, April 4. The Rebels and Rams will open the series up on Thursday, April 2 at 6 p.m. at Eller Media Stadium.

UNLV brings back
Charelle Aki,
Bri Williams and
Maddie Scott who were among the top seven hitters from last season. Aki batted a .311 with five doubles, three home runs and 19 RBI. Williams posted a .262 batting average with three doubles, four home runs and 15 RBI. Scott played all 49 games and started 43 and batted a .223 with five doubles, team-high three triples and 10 RBI.

LAST YEAR: The Rebels had an overall record of 24-25 and a 7-15 Mountain West record. Four Rebels collected All-Mountain West honors.
Ariana Martinez picked up All-MW first team,
Jesse Farrell was named All-MW second team and
Karmyna Becerra and
Yanina Sherwood earned All-MW honorable mention.
