LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's tennis team posted its third shutout of the weekend, 4-0, over New Mexico State on a gorgeous Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Rebels, who finished this trio of matches with a combined score of 18-0, improved to 7-2 with their fourth win overall while the Aggies fell to 4-7.

Nikol Mircheva and
Hudson Hawkins downed Anna Pinaieva and Nadia Nemeth, 6-3, at the top spot. At the second position, UNLV's
Veronika Kliuch and
Eszter Kis-Czako trailed 5-2 at one point but ended up forcing a tiebreaker vs. Anna Klimova and Mo Parkinson-Lubold before winning it 8-6 to secure the team point.
In singles play,
Sofiia Sokolvak swept Nadia Nemeth, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 6; Mircheva finished off Whitney Moon, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 2; and Kliuch rallied to win a first-set tiebreaker vs. Pinaieva at the top of the lineup before the Aggie player retired with an injury.
