SCOUTING GRAND CANYON: The Lopes head into the weekend with a 43-6 overall record and sit atop the league standings with a 16-3 record. Grand Canyon has also clinched a spot in the MW Championships. GCU is coming off a 2-1 series win against SDSU. The Lopes took the first two-games in run-rule fashion and then the Aztecs answered back with a run-rule in the series finale. Jada Cooper leads the Lopes' offense batting a .367 (44-for-120) and has a .700 slugging percentage and .530 on-base percentage. Cooper is additionally the home run leader (12) and RBI leader (45). In the circle, Natalie Fritz leads the staff with a 1.33 ERA to go with a 9-0 record through 17 appearances. Oakley Vickers is second with a 2.04 ERA to go with an 11-3 record through 33 appearances.

Diamond Sefe had a huge weekend hitting a combined .636 (7-for-11) including two home runs, three RBI, a double and scored five runs. She also had two walks through three games against the Broncos. Sefe additionally led the Rebels in slugging percentage (1.273) and on-base percentage (.692). Sefe is now on a five-game hitting streak and has reached base in 12 straight games. Hatzenbeller additionally had a huge weekend in her home state, batting a combined .556 (5-for-9) including two home runs, five RBI and crossed the plate five times. She also had two walks to go with an on-base percentage of .636. Hatzenbeller had a slugging percentage of 1.222. In her homecoming to her hometown,
Lauren Fettic went 2-0 in her three appearances against the Broncos and collected a save for her third of the season. She pitched 10.2 innings including her fourth complete game of the season and struck out nine Broncos. She only allowed three walks and held Boise State to bat a .304.

NEXT SERIES: The Scarlet & Gray will close out the regular season at home hosting UNR for the final Mountain West series beginning on Thursday, April 30 and concluding on Saturday, May 2. UNLV brings back
Charelle Aki,
Bri Williams and
Maddie Scott who were among the top seven hitters from last season. Aki batted a .311 with five doubles, three home runs and 19 RBI. Williams posted a .262 batting average with three doubles, four home runs and 15 RBI. Scott played all 49 games and started 43 and batted a .223 with five doubles, team-high three triples and 10 RBI.
