LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — The UNLV men's soccer team will make their comeback to the pitch for the 2026 season with 13 new players on its roster. That list of Rebel newcomers features eight additions from the U.S. and five internationals, including four student-athletes who joined the program in January.

BJ Craig. "Each player comes from a top program where they developed skill sets and leadership qualities that will make an impact for our program. They have high character and talent, but more importantly, they all have a passion for the game, a desire to work hard to improve every day, and strive to be great at what they do not just on the field, but in the classroom and life. These are the qualities that we look for in players and these will help them be successful here at UNLV."
Akseli Ekqvist, Defender, Houston, TX
Originally from Houston, Akseli Ekqvist transfers to UNLV from West Virginia. During his time in Morgantown, he was a part of a program that made two trips to the NCAA Tournament. Prior to college, he came up through the Houston Dynamo Academy with experience playing with the U-14 Finnish National Team.
Maxim Scordo, Forward, Newport Beach, CA
A product of Newport Beach, California, Maxim Scordo is a transfer from Dayton, where he helped the Flyers reach the Atlantic 10 Championship final in 2025. As a player for the Colorado Rapids Academy, he became the club's all-time leading goal scorer and later earned a spot on the TopDrawer Soccer Freshman Preseason Best 11 team entering college.
Farhan Moustafa, Defender, Olympia, WA
A native of Olympia, Washington, Farhan Moustafa, comes to Las Vegas after graduating early from Gonzaga, where he started all 51 games he played in. During his time in Spokane, he made the Dean's List three times and the President's List twice. Before college, he suited up for the Seattle Sounders Academy with his UNLV teammate
Sawyer Crisostomo and won the 2022 GA Cup Championship with the club.
Owen Gall, Midfielder, Dallas, TX
A second addition from Texas, Dallas native Owen Gall joins the Rebels as a transfer from Duquesne. He previously competed for FC Dallas, winning the 2020 Dallas Cup championship and Copa Rayados Championship. At Marcus High School, he garnered 2024 UIL All-Region Second Team accolades, was a three-time District 6-6A First Team Midfield selection, and earned 2022 District Newcomer of the Year.
Everett Dwyer, Forward, Houston, TX
Another addition from Houston, Everett Dwyer is an attacker who attended Stratford High School. As part of the Houston Rangers side, he was an MLS Next Selection Game nominee.
Pol Izquierdo, Midfielder, Corbins, Spain
Hailing from Corbins, Spain, Pol Izquierdo competed in Tercera RFEF for CDJ Tamarite. His other club experience includes time with Atlètic Segre.
Jose Mondi, Midfielder, Bloemfontein, South Africa
Also coming from overseas is Jose Mondi out of Bloemfontein, South Africa. With Kovsie FC, he formed part of a history-making squad that became the first in the UFS to win the varsity Football championship. His brother, Tyrone Mondi, previously played under head coach
BJ Craig and went on to play for Real Salt Lake Monarchs.
Oliver Clow, Defender, Toronto, Canada
A defender from Toronto, Canada, Oliver Clow's background includes playing for Sigma FC that reached the League One final. He also previously penned his first development contract with Forge FC in the Canadian Premier League.
Matthew Gomez, Goalkeeper, San Ramon, CA
Goalkeeper Matthew Gomez makes his way to Las Vegas from the San Jose Earthquakes Academy, where he was on an Earthquakes II Academy contract.
Marius Gulbrandsen, Midfielder, Ålesund, Norway
Midfielder Marius Gulbrandsen forms one-half of the Rebels' twin duo coming from Ålesund, Norway with experience playing for AAFK and Herd.
Thomas Gulbrandsen, Defender, Ålesund, Norway
Rounding out the Scarlet & Gray twin duo from Ålesund, Norway, defender Thomas Gulbrandsen also competed for AAFK and Herd.
Rome Kramer, Forward, St. George, Utah
Originally from St. George, Utah, forward Rome Kramer brings to the program experience from the Barca Academy located in Casa Grande, Arizona
Jacob Miranda, Forward, Anthem, AZ
A native of Anthem, Arizona, defender Jacob Miranda completes the incoming class of players. He developed as a player with the Real Salt Lake Academy in Utah.
