LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — UNLV men's soccer heads to Phoenix for its inaugural Mountain West season opener at Grand Canyon with a 7 p.m. PT kickoff on Saturday at GCU Stadium.
The Rebels (4-2-2) ride a four-match unbeaten streak into MW play after a draw vs. Gonzaga to close the non-conference portion of the season. They meet again with a familiar conference foe in the Lopes (3-5-0) who also earned a result in their last outing with a draw against CSUN.

NOTES:
- The Rebels have been ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Far West Region Poll all five times on the year, reaching as high as No. 3 in the region (Sept. 15). They currently check in at No. 7 on that list.
- On the defensive side, UNLV's backline and goalkeeping units have played themselves in the top-25 nationally in three categories. Among those rankings, the Scarlet & Gray stands at seventh in save percentage (.854), tied for 19th in the country in goals against average (.750) and senior goalkeeper Hugo Lemos ranks 15th in save percentage (.842).
- UNLV has now scored goals in five of the past six games and has found the net in six of eight games. In the matches they've capitalized on scoring, the Rebels improved its overall record to 4-0-2.
