High School: Played two years for Highland Park High, and was team caption her junior season ... also ran one season of cross county, in which she set the school record, and one season of track (2007), where she helped the Giants to the indoor conference and regional championship

Club: Helped Elm Grove Academy in Milwaukee, Wisc., to the 2006 state cup finals and to the 2007 Surf Cup college showcase finals ... currently playing for the KUFC Knockouts in Elgin, Ill.

Personal: Dannah Eve Lakin ... born on Sept. 23, 1991, in Highland Park, Ill. ... daughter of Mitch and Patti Lakin ... her grandfather, Ronald Lakin, played basketball at DePaul (1955-58) and a cousin, Scott Lakin, will be a freshman on the Northwestern men[apos]s soccer team this fall ... plans on majoring in criminal justice.
