Cydney Niedermeyer was hired by head coach Chris Shaw in August of 2019. Niedermeyer joins the program as a second assistant behind associate head coach J.J. Wozniak and replaces former Rebel player Michaela Kelsey, who occupied the same role in the fall of 2018.
Niedermeyer comes to Las Vegas after spending the spring as the volunteer assistant at Auburn University, where she also assisted with social media marketing and fan engagement. She spent the previous year playing professionally for the Puerto Rico Sol FC in Fajardo, Puerto Rico and has coached at the youth and prep levels since graduating from Temple in 2017. The North Fort Meyers, Florida, native began her collegiate playing career at Southeastern University in 2013 and earned league defensive player of the year and first team all-league honors as a junior in 2015. She transferred to Temple prior to the 2016 season and went on to appear in 17 games during her senior campaign.
