Volleyball Falls To Utah

LAS VEGAS - Alisa Geddes recorded a double-double of 18 kills and 12 digs to lead Utah past UNLV 13-15, 15-8, 15-8, 15-4, in a Mountain West Conference volleyball match at Lied Gymnasium Thursday.

Utah (18-6, 8-2 MWC) was assisted in the win by McKelle Stilson's 12 kills. Graciella Torres-Lopez had 46 assists and Jen Snow-Richards added 5 block assists.

UNLV (9-11, 1-8 MWC) had three players with double figures in kills and three in double figure digs. Jeanette Graves had 13 kills and 10 digs, Danielle Gerlach had 11 kills and 11 digs, while Angie Sylvas had 13 kills and Justine Kamelamela had 13 digs. Alicia Erickson led the team in blocks with 8. Kamelamela also added 40 assists.

UNLV will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 6 against No. 10 Brigham Young. The match will be held at the Thomas & Mack Center at 7:00 p.m.
