LAS VEGAS - UNLV women's basketball player Brooke Ingalls will meet with a fifth-grade class at Bartlett Elementary School in Henderson on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 9:00 a.m. as part of the UNLV Adopt-A-Rebel program.
The UNLV Adopt-A-Rebel Program gives children in Clark County the opportunity to meet their chosen Rebel athlete and learn more about athletics, the community, and UNLV. Coordinated by the UNLV Sports Marketing Department, elementary school classes "adopt" a Rebel athlete from one of UNLV's 16 intercollegiate sports. The classes are provided with biographical information, news articles, game summaries and statistics for their adopted players.
Ingalls, a senior forward from Redmond, Wash., was adopted by Mrs. Jordan's class last month. She will address the class, give an update on Lady Rebel basketball, answer questions, participate in learning exercises, take photographs and sign autographs with the students in the class.
