HONOLULU - The UNLV volleyball team lost to No. 2 Hawai'i 15-0, 15-12, 15-3 in front of an announced crowd of 6,447 at Stan Sheriff Center Saturday.
Hawai'i (8-0) was led by Jessica Sudduth's 14 kills. Jennifer Carey added 14 assists as the team hit .303 (36 kills, 13 errors, 76 attacks) for the match.
Leiana Oswald recorded a team-high 8 kills for UNLV (0-9). Robyn Shea added 13 assists. The Rebels hit .082 (16-11-61).
The Rebels will now travel to Utah to open the Mountain West Conference season on Friday, Sept. 22 at No. 10 BYU. UNLV then is at No. 18 Utah on Saturday, Sept. 23.
UNLV's next home match will be Thursday, Sept. 28 vs. New Mexico at the Thomas & Mack Center.
