LAS VEGAS - The UNLV volleyball team fell to Nevada, Reno 3-0 (30-21, 30-26, 30-21) on Tuesday night in the Cox Pavilion. Reno improved to 8-1 on the season and has not lost a game in their last six matches. UNLV falls to 4-6 on the season.
UNLV struggled offensively, hitting only .155 (42-24-116) in the match to Reno's .323 (46-14-99). Patricia Assuncao and Tarin Keith each tallied ten kills in the match. Keith also added a team-high six digs and a pair of service aces.
Leiana Oswald dropped nine kills on the Wolf Pack. He also finished with five digs and a block assist.
Sheila Ocasio-Clemente blocked four balls in the match, one solo and three assisted. She also had four kills without an error.
Blair Wilkes played only two games, but contributed five kills and two block assists. Sarah Fachner played one game and had a perfect three kills in three attempts.
Reno was led by Michelle More's 17 kills. She hit .455 (17-2-33) in the match.
UNLV travels to Fresno, Calif., this weekend for the Fresno State Quadrangular. They will join Sacramento State, San Diego and host Fresno State for the two-day round-robin tournament.
