Rebels Travel To Tucson

LAS VEGAS - The No. 6 UNLV men's golf team will travel to Tucson, Ariz., for the National Invitational Tournament, which will be played Monday-Tuesday, April 2-3 at the Omni Tucson National Golf Club (Par 72, 7,094 yards).

The Rebels are coming off their second title of the season as they won the Morris Williams Intercollegiate on March 27.

The 54-hole tournament will be played over two days starting on Monday with 36 holes played that day and 18 played during the final round on Tuesday. Play will begin each day at 7:30 a.m. PDT.

UNLV will keep its lineup the same as it used for the Morris Williams Intercollegiate: Jarred Texter, C.J. Gatto, Seung-Su Han, Brett Kanda and Eddie Olson.

Teams scheduled to compete include Arizona State, Duke, Kent State, New Mexico, Northwestern, Pepperdine, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UCLA, UNLV and host Arizona (two squads).

Last year's NIT champions were UCLA at 14-under par and New Mexico's Jay Choi at 6-under.
