Besides Owen's effort, the Rebels also got at least five blocks from four more players. Both Elsa Descamps and Alyssa Wing had six assisted stuffs, while Ceannia Kincade and Alexis Patterson had five blocks (one solo and four assisted).

Owens and Patterson helped offensively, as well, with the former throwing down 11 kills with a match-high .474 hitting efficiency to the latter's 33 assists â€" a match best, two kills and an ace.

Bree Hammel, like Owens, notched double figures in kills with her team-high 12. Hammel also chipped in three digs and two total blocks (one solo).

"Our kids put up great blocks tonight," said head coach Cindy Fredrick. "Alexis and Ashley really did a great job at the net. Our serves kept them out of system and we balanced that with good defense. We played Bree on the outside, which gave us a different look, and Ceannia came through for us in the front and back row."
