The Rebels had jumped out to a 7-3 mark thanks to a seven-game win streak, which was the third-longest streak in the nation, but that was snapped after Sunday's setback to UTRGV by a 1-0 score. That dropped UNLV a game behind Seattle, Utah Valley and Grand Canyon in the conference standings, and doesn't leave much room for error on the team's quest for a second straight regular season title.
While UNLV is once again a strong offensive side, both its opponents this weekend have struggled in the scoring column. In fact, SJSU has been shutout three of the past four games, while the two opponents are near the bottom of the league for total goals allowed.
UNLV is also looking to claim its first road victory at San Jose since 2012, and its first-ever road win over the Roadrunenrs in the Rebels' fourth meeting in Bakersfield.
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's soccer team looks to bounce back from an upset loss in its last outing, as the Rebels are on the road this weekend with a pair of WAC contests at San Jose State and CSU Bakersfield. The Rebels will take on the Spartans of SJSU on Friday, and close out the weekend on Sunday against the Roadrunners.
There will be a live webstream for both games, as Friday's San Jose State game will be on the Mountain West Network, while Sunday's game at CSU Bakersfield is on the WAC Digital Network. Fans can access both broadcasts online, and they can also watch on their TV through the Roku streaming video box, on either the Livestream (MWN) channel or the WAC Live channel.
