Nov. 1, 2016 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Rebel Volleyball's Cindy Fredrick, who is in the midst of her sixth season at UNLV, became the program's winningest coach earlier this season. Fredrick moved ahead of Allison Keeley (2004-10) and her 108 victories with a 3-0 triumph at Air Force (October 20) for her 109th.
Fredrick, who eclipsed the 100-win milestone against Utah Valley in September, has the Rebels off to their best start in program history at 21-3. More importantly, the squad sits in a first-place tie - with Boise State - in the Mountain West behind a 10-2 mark with six matches to play.
Additionally, the team has been on the cusp of cracking the American Volleyball Coaches Association's Top 25, as it has been mentioned in the "receiving votes" category in numerous weekly polls.
Since coming to UNLV, Fredrick has also notched her 500th career and 500th NCAA Division I victories during the 2014 and 2015 campaigns, respectively.
