LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV Volleyball will host the Shandong China Junior Team at 6:00 pm Wednesday, September 7 in the Cox Pavilion. Fans can purchase tickets in-advance and online for $5 ($8 at the window) while children 12 and under are free of charge.

The exhibition match will follow this weekend's Rebel Challenge â€" UNLV's second and final home tournament â€" that is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, and features matches against Cal State Northridge, Hofstra and Sacramento State.

Shandong is currently in the midst of a two-week tour for training and shopping through the United States. The squad, which is comprised of players ranging from 17-20 years old, has already played matches against a pair of universities located in San Antonio - St. Mary's and UTSA. They will remain in the Lone Star State for a contest Monday against Texas A&M in College Station.

Bring It Promotions, which also handles the Mountain West's participation in the European Global Challenge â€" a summer tournament that current Rebels Ashley Owens (2016), Bree Hammel (2015) and Alexis Patterson (2015) once played in, is managing four other trips by Chinese teams this year. This is the first instance that BIP has brought a team from China to Las Vegas.
