The UNLV volleyball team continues its four-match homestand with Mountain West contests against the No. 20 Colorado State Rams and Wyoming Cowgirls this week. The Rebels, who went 1-1 last week, will welcome the nationally ranked Rams to Las Vegas and the Cox Pavilion Thursday night for a 6:00 pm affair. The Cowgirls mosey into town two days later for a Saturday matinee; first serve is scheduled for 12:00 pm.

The Scarlet & Gray is 7-14 overall and sits in a five-way tie for sixth place in the conference standings with a 3-5 mark. Over the past two weeks, UNLV has won three of its last four with the lone loss - a 3-2 defeat to Fresno State last Thursday - interrupting five-set wins over San Jose State (October 5) and Fresno State (October 7) and, most recently, a 3-1 triumph against San Diego State (October 14).

CSU and UW enter this week's action sitting atop the MW's standings in first and second place, respectively. The former is a perfect 8-0 in league play and 18-2 on the year, while the latter is 6-2 against MW opposition and 11-9 in 2017. Both teams are coming off 3-0 sweeps of both SJSU and Nevada, Reno. The Rams carry an eight-match winning streak into Thursday's bout, and seven were by 3-0 margin of victory. The Cowgirls have won five straight - four by 3-0 scores, but put their streak on the line at SDSU Thursday night prior to its stop in Las Vegas.
