LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's tennis team opened its fall tournament schedule Friday by not losing set during the first round of the Fall Invitational at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Rebels saw all seven players win their opening singles match in straight sets and both doubles teams advance along with a third who enjoyed a bye.

In the top flight of singles, 83rd-ranked Aiwen Zhu downed Hanneke Lodewijks of NAU, 7-6, 6-0. She then teamed up with En-Pei Huang for an 8-2 victory in the top flight of doubles over Maria Paula Medina and Milena Baigorria of UTEP.

Joining the Rebels in the event are competitors from Long Beach State, NAU, Washington State, Boise State and UTEP.

Semifinal action starts Saturday at 10 a.m. The tournament concludes Sunday. All matches are free of charge.
