CEV Volleyball Golden European League

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV rising senior Elsa Descamps is in the midst of participating for France at the 2018 CEV Volleyball Golden European League. The Toulouse native will participate in three matches for the national team at Parc des Sports des Nations in Vandoeuvre-les-Nancy, which is located in the northeast of France.

Descamps joined the team prior to its fourth-leg match against Hungary -- a 3-0 loss -- Wednesday. She will suit up for two more matches against Finland (Saturday) and Croatia (Wednesday).

Dating back to 2012, Descamps has been a member of France's Junior National Team and has competed in two CEV European Championships in 2012 (junior) and 2014 (U19) as well as a pair of European World Championship qualifiers.

As a junior, Descamps led the Rebels in hitting efficiency (.279), and finished second in kills (267), kills per set (2.21) as well as in all three blocking categories: total blocks (130), assisted blocks (104) and solo blocks (26).
