LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV Volleyball is looking for children between the second and eighth grades to be members of the inaugural class of "Rising Rebels" – a group that will assist the team throughout the season at home matches. These individuals will help with ball shagging during warm-ups as well as rotate balls and wipe the floor during matches.
 
Additionally, members of the "Rising Rebels" will have to arrive at the Cox Pavilion 45 minutes before each contest and stay throughout the match. In return, each individual will receive a UNLV T-shirt, a free ticket for a parent/guardian, a picture with the team and fellow "Rising Rebels," and the opportunity to be on the court when the 2018 Rebels take the court.
 
Training will take place at the Scarlet & Gray Scrimmage which is slated for 2:00 pm on August 11.

2018 SCHEDULE: The Rebels will host the Scarlet & Gray Scrimmage and play an exhibition against Northern Arizona on August 11 and 18, respectively, prior to serving up the 2018 season against Indiana, Southern Utah and LIU Brooklyn in their own UNLV Invitational at the Cox Pavilion on August 24-25. Overall, the team will play 30 matches, with 15 of those at home.
 
2018 REBELS: First-year head coach Dawn Sullivan and assistant coaches Ariel Apolinario and Mel Nua will field a 13-member squad, which returns eight letterwinners and welcomes five newcomers. The roster will feature senior Elsa Descamps, junior-college transfer Antonette Rolda and 11 underclassmen (six sophomores and five freshmen).
