On The Road Again, Rebels Off To Golden State

UNLV takes on UC Riverside, San Diego this weekend.

After splitting its first homestand of the season, which ended in a disappointing 1-0 loss to Cal State Fullerton on a late score, the UNLV men's soccer team (4-2) is back on the road again with a pair of games in California. This weekend's games mark the fifth and sixth of the season for UNLV away from Las Vegas, out of eight total contests.

First up will be a late Friday night match, as the Rebels will play at UC Riverside in a 8 pm game, before a Sunday, 5 pm contest at San Diego. The Highlanders will be playing their season-opener, the second game of a doubleheader that night with their women's squad. UCR will be looking for its first win of the season but has played a difficult schedule that includes a pair of games at ranked Michigan and Michigan State as well as a tie in their last outing at Cal.

San Diego meanwhile is undefeated in its last three games (2-0-1), but comes into the weekend with just five total goals this season. Two losses were to UCLA and Duke, while the Toreros own a 2-1 win over WAC member Cal Baptist.

Sunday's game at San Diego will be live streamed, carried by the WCC Digital Network through Stadium, which will be available on UNLVRebels.com as well as through the Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV and Android streaming devices.
