LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV volleyball team returns to Las Vegas and Cox Pavilion for its final regular-season home matches of the season. The Rebels, who are coming off a successful road trip with wins at Boise State and Utah State, will host the UNR Wolf Pack and San Jose State Spartans this week.
The Scarlet & Gray will square off against UNR Thursday evening at 7:00 pm and then welcome SJSU to town two days later for a 5:00 pm affair.
UNLV (15-10 overall, 11-3 MW) enters the week winners of 11 of its last 12 - all of which has come against Mountain West foes - after it picked up two more victories on the road. The Rebels rallied for a come-from-behind triumph at BSU after falling behind 2-1. Two days later, they pulled away from USU with wins in the third and fourth after the match was deadlocked at 1-all after two sets.
UNR (17-9, 7-7) and SJSU (10-15, 5-9) have both won three of their past four. The two squads squared off against each other last week in San Jose, with the Spartans winning 3-2, and also traveled to Colorado to sweep Air Force.

Nov. 14 vs. UNR - Silver State Series and Code Red: The UNLV-UNR affair is part of the Silver State Series presented by IBEW Local 401 and Nevada Donor Network. The all-encompassing athletic and academic series between the Rebels and Wolf Pack sits deadlocked at 3-all after the points for women's soccer (UNLV) and cross country (UNR) were awarded last month. Additionally, the contest is part of UNLV Athletics' Code Red series, which encourages all fans and students to wear red while cheering on the Rebels.
Nov. 16 vs. San Jose State - Senior Night: The UNLV-SJSU affair is being billed as "Senior Day," with the Rebels celebrating their outgoing senior
Antonette Rolda. Senior festivities are slated to begin following the conclusion of the match.
TIME CHANGE: First serve for UNLV volleyball's regular-season home finale against the San Jose State Spartans has been pushed up two hours Saturday to 5:00 pm at the Cox Pavilion. The contest was originally scheduled to start at 7:00 pm.
ON DECK: UNLV will close out the regular season on the road in Albuquerque, New Mexico and USAF Academy, Colorado with matches against the New Mexico Lobos on Nov. 19 and Air Force Falcons on Nov. 23, respectively.
NATIONALLY SPEAKING: As of Nov. 10, UNLV ranks 150th or better in 10 NCAA Division I statistical categories. Delving deeper, the Rebels are fourth in team service aces, 12th in aces per set, 17th in team kills and 18th in team assists. Moreover, the squad sits first in team assists, team kills and team service aces and second in four others in the Mountain West's standings.
NCAA ACTIVE LEADERS: To date, Hayden is the active career leader in NCAA DI in both aces (210) and aces per set (.638), and sits tied for 51st in kills (1,184) with Marist's Megan Fergus.
Hayden has 23 more aces than the 187 amassed by Catie Cronister, a senior at Wofford). She is also 11 points (.638 to .525) better than Robert Morris' Emma Granger's aces-per-set average.
Hayden is one of only six juniors that sit 51st or better in kills in a category led by 29 seniors, including Cincinnati's Jordan Thompson's first-place haul of 2,481.
