Runnin' Rebel Caravan To Roll Through Las Vegas Valley Starting In May

Three-week tour planned to connect with community and to introduce new men's basketball coach T.J. Otzelberger.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - New UNLV men's basketball head coach T.J. Otzelberger will be the featured headliner during UNLV Athletics' Runnin' Rebel Caravan, which will take place over a three-week period starting in May.

The Runnin' Rebel Caravan is a community appearance blitz that will include Coach Otzelberger, his family, the men's basketball staff and student-athletes (when available), introducing and connecting them with various groups and organizations throughout the Las Vegas and Henderson areas.
 
"I have enjoyed meeting so many passionate Rebel fans since arriving in Las Vegas," said Otzelberger, who began at UNLV at the end of March. "The pride and passion of this city is unrivaled and I look forward to connecting with those who make this community great during our Caravan."  
 
Through the Runnin' Rebel Caravan, UNLV Athletics intends to reach season ticket holders, donors, media, businesses, civic groups, youth organizations, sports fans and community members, along with UNLV faculty and staff, alumni and students.
 
Some organizations and events have already been scheduled as part of the Runnin' Rebel Caravan and include the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada, Clark County Fire Department, First Friday Las Vegas, Las Vegas Metro Police Department, Las Vegas Rotary, Las Vegas Sports and Leisure, UNLV Alumni Mixer and the YMCA.
