,LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV softball sophomore Jenny Bressler has been named to the CoSIDA NCAA Division I Academic All-District 7 team, the organization announced Thursday. Despite the shortened season, CoSIDA moved forward with its annual awards based on academic and career athletic achievement.

This is the first career CoSIDA honor for the Rebel ace from Canton, Michigan, and the second straight year a Rebel has earned the award after the program went 15 years without a selection. District 7 includes Division I programs in Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas.

Bressler has already etched her name in the UNLV record books in just a season and a half after she set the program record for most wins by a freshman with 23 in 2019 and earned first team all-conference and first team all-region selections. She had already collected 11 wins this spring and earned another spot on the Mountain West All-Conference team. The Pre-Business major has a 3.88 GPA and is one of just two sophomores to be included on the list.
