DENVER (UNLVRebels.com) – The short-handed UNLV men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to Wichita State in a neutral-site meeting Saturday at the Denver Tennis Park.
Playing indoors for the first time this season and without the services of top player
Alex Kobelt, the Rebels saw their three-match winning streak snapped while the Shockers improved to 6-3 overall.
WSU took two of three doubles matches for a 1-0 lead and then clinched things with a trio of straight-set victories in the bottom half of the lineup.
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Milos Dabic teamed with
Jordan Sauer for UNLV's only doubles win on court three and then took his opening set in singles before his match at the third position was halted deep in the second.
NEXT FOR THE REBELS: UNLV will return to the courts Saturday with a match against Denver starting at noon.
