LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV track & field senior Cassondra Hall was named the Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Wednesday.
The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics' Strategic Communications department.
A native of Warner Robins, Ga., Hall turned in a pair of individual victories in the 100m and 200m races and ran a leg of the Scarlet & Gray's 4x100m relay win at the UNLV Spring Invitational & Sheila Tarr-Smith Multis. The Rebel sprint specialist Hall also catapulted herself atop this season's national time leaderboard during her first-place finishes in the 100m (11.27) and 200m (23.08). Additionally, Hall and teammates Nami Wilson, Kaysha Love and Tianna Randle combined for a time of 44.79 to put UNLV's 4x100m relay at No. 3 in the rankings.
