SAN DIEGO (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team continued to struggle without its top player, Alex Kobelt, in the lineup on Friday, this time falling 7-0 to San Diego at the Hogan Center.  

The Rebels dropped to 3-7 while the Toreros improved to 4-1.

UNLV was competitive in doubles play but the hosts took the first two completed matches to earn the point. In singles, the Rebels only managed to win one set as Jordan Sauer dropped a heartbreaker via super-tiebreaker to David Norfeldt on court two, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-8).

QUOTABLE: "We had some opportunities in doubles but ended up losing a tough point. Our energy was low starting out in singles and it cost us today."
