LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – Three UNLV men's tennis players were named to the All-Mountain West Conference Team on Thursday as the league announced its annual awards.
 
Senior Eric Samuelsson (Ahus, Sweden) was named all-conference in singles for the third consecutive season after leading the Rebels in wins with a 10-8 overall mark, including 6-1 vs. MW opponents. He was named the MW Player of the Week on February 10.
 
Joining him on the singles team for the second straight spring was Alex Kobelt (Columbus, Ohio), who battled an injury for much of the season but still posted a 4-1 mark vs. the league's No. 1 players in the lineup. He was honored as the league's player of the week on April 21.
 
Samuelsson was joined on the all-league doubles team by local product Clayton Alenik (Las Vegas) for the second time in three years. UNLV's top duo led the squad with a 9-8 record, including 3-3 in MW action.
 
As a team, UNLV finished in a tie for second place in the league with a 5-2 mark and turned in a 10-1 record at home in 2021.
