Martin Named Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel Of The Week

The redshirt junior earns honor after helping the Rebels to its sixth consecutive 2-0 weekend in conference play.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV volleyball's redshirt junior Isabel Martin was named the Raising Cane's Outstanding Rebel of the Week for the second consecutive week, the school announced Wednesday.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.

Martin, an outsider hitter from Mauerstetten, Germany, led the Rebels in their sixth consecutive 2-0 weekend in conference play. The Hillsborough CC graduate recorded 14 kills, 12 digs and three block assists, hitting .367 percent during Thursday night's 3-0 sweep over Air Force Academy. She followed that helping the Scarlet & Gary with another 3-0 sweep over New Mexico with 17 kills, seven digs and two service aces with a hitting percentage of .371 percent.
