LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — UNLV senior Jenny Bressler was named the Mountain West Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Bressler (10-4) pitched the second-ever perfect game in UNLV history, striking out eight of 15 batters faced in UNLV's 8-0 five-inning run rule of UNR on Saturday. It was Bressler's 18th career shut out.

It was the fourth career conference pitcher of the week honor for Bressler.

Bressler also struck out four of seven batters faced in a two-inning save appearance in Friday's 5-1 victory. The save was Bressler's eighth in her career, improving her to third most all-time at UNLV.

UNLV hosts Dixie State tonight at 6 p.m. at Eller Media Stadium.

Single-game tickets are $6 each when purchased in advance of game day, and $10 each on the day of the game.
