COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (UNLVRebels.com) — UNLV senior Jenny Bressler has been selected the Mountain West Softball Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced today.

Bressler was one pitch shy of her second perfect game of the season after throwing a no-hitter in Saturday's win at San Jose State. Bressler fanned a season-high 12 batters in the game as part of 26 strikeouts and a scoreless ERA over 17.0 innings pitched over the three-game series.

The right-hander opened the series with a complete-game shutout of the Spartans in Friday's 2-0 victory. 

It was Bressler's second such honor this season and the fifth of her career.

Bressler's performances allowed the Rebels to maintain third place in the conference standings, two games back from first with 12 to play in the regular season. 

The two shutouts moved Bressler into fifth on UNLV's career shutouts list with 21. Her 502 career strikeouts rank fourth all-time at UNLV.
