LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women's soccer sophomore goalkeeper
Riley Liebsack was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
A native of Torrance, California, Liebsack anchored the Rebel defense as they topped Eastern Washington, 2-0 on Sunday. In the win, she recorded her fifth career shutout and made saves on all five of EWU's shots on goal.
This is the first time a UNLV player has received the recognition this season and the second career weekly honor for Liebsack.
UP NEXT: The Rebels remain home this week for a pair of matches at Peter Johann Memorial Field. They will take on Loyola Marymount on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m. PT, before facing Idaho State on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 1 p.m. PT.
