LAS VEGAS (UNLVrebels.com) - The UNLV cross country team was named on the 2023 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Academic Awards list on Thursday, appearing on the All-Academic Teams portion of the awards notice for their accolades in the fall of 2023.

The Rebels picked up their first USTFCCCA Academic Team honor under first-year head coach Carmelita Jeter, registering a team GPA of 3.34 on a 4.0 scale in the fall semester. The Scarlet & Gray were one of 245 programs that picked up the accolade in the fall of 2023.

"We're proud to announce ourselves as a USTFCCCA All-Academic cross country team," mentioned Jeter, "These ladies put in the work to deserve this round of applause, go Rebels!"

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
