LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – Both remaining UNLV players won their quarterfinal match on Sunday during the fifth day of the 2025 ITA Mountain Region Men's Tennis Championships on campus at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
 
Super soph Ilia Snitari, ranked 83rd nationally and seeded first in this event, was tested and dropped his first set of the fall before downing Theo Coats of Denver, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, to improve to 9-0 this season and 17-0 overall as a Rebel. He will now face 13-seed Carson Baker of Boise State in one of Monday's semifinals.
 
Maksymchuk, an unseeded senior, upset six-seeded Emmett Potter of Utah, 6-3, 6-3, to also advance. He will next take on seventh-seeded Jean-Baptiste Badon of Utah State in the other semifinal, which starts at 10 a.m.
 
The regional championship match will then follow the morning round. Both players reaching the final will earn auto-bids to the NCAA Individual Championship set for next month in Orlando.
