Roland Collects MW Player of the Week Nod

Meadow Roland averaged a double-double to help the Lady Rebels to a 2-0 start of the season

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's Meadow Roland has been named the first Mountain West Player of the Week for the 2025-26 season, the league announced today.

The 6-foot-2 redshirt sophomore forward averaged a double-double of 17.5 points per game and 12.0 rebounds per game to help the Lady Rebels to a 2-0 start with victories over Washington State (64-51) and DePaul (85-78). The Fresno, California native scored 17 points in the Lady Rebels' home opener against the Cougars. She shot 7-for-13 (.538) from the field and 3-for-4 (.750) from the free throw line. Roland also brought down nine rebounds against Washington State. Her momentum continued as she recorded her second career double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds against DePaul. Her 15 rebounds were only one-shy of her career-high. Roland blocked a career-high five shots, including a huge block with less than 20 seconds left to play versus the Blue Demons.

This marks the first career player of the week nod for Roland. Roland was named MW Freshman of the Week last season four times.

It's time to Pack the Pavilion! UNLV hosts a marquee matchup against No. 7 Baylor on Friday, November 14 at 6 p.m. The Lady Rebels and Bears' contest will be televised on CBS Sportsnet.
