LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — UNLV men'ssoccer senior goalkeeper Hugo Lemos was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. This marks his first MW weekly honor, his sixth career weekly award overall and the second for a Rebel this season.

A native of A Coruna, Spain, Lemos helped UNLV to a 1-1 mark last week with a 2-1 win over CSU Bakersfield. In the Scarlet & Gray's victory, Lemos recorded six saves and an assist on the Rebels' first goal of the match. He finished the week with eight total saves, an .800 save percentage and a 1.00 goal against average in a week that also included a road contest against nationally ranked Kansas City.
