LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV Volleyball was one of 233 NCAA Division I programs to receive the American Volleyball Coaches Association's 2024-25 Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT. The Rebels have earned the award for the 11th time in program history and the 10th honor in the past 11 seasons dating back to the 2007-08 campaign.
UNLV uses the 4.0 scale and the program posted a 3.51 cumulative team grade point average this past academic year. The Rebels went 15-14 overall on the court during the 2024 season, including 8-10 in Mountain West play.
A record 1,450 collegiate and high school volleyball teams across multiple divisions earned the award this season. The AVCA Team Academic Award, which was first handed out following the conclusion of the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative GPA on a 5.0 scale.
