Softball Hosts UNR For Senior Weekend

UNLV and UNR will open the Mountain West three-game series on Thursday, April 30 at 6 p.m. at Eller Media Stadium

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV softball team will honor its six graduating seniors this weekend when in-state rival UNR comes to town for the final regular-season series beginning on Thursday, April 30 and concluding on Saturday, May 2. Both the Rebels and Wolf Pack have clinched a spot in the Mountain West Softball Championships. This series is part of the Silver State Series presented by America First.

Last meeting: UNR collected both games of the doubleheader in Reno last season.
 
SCOUTING UNR: UNR heads into the series with a 36-15 overall record and a 16-6 MW record. The Wolf Pack are coming off a 4-5 loss to Fresno State, however UNR collected the series 2-1. The Wolf Pack have three players batting .400 or higher and are led by Madison Clark who has a .484 batting average. Clark has a team-high 89 hits and is 31-for-32 on stolen bases. Hannah Di Genova is second on the squad with a .424. Di Genova is the home run leader (22) and RBI leader (75). In the circle, Tess Bumiller holds a 12-4 record to go with a 2.63 ERA. She has pitched 101.1 innings through 31 appearances. Bumiller has three complete games on the season and two saves. She holds a 1.49 WHIP and has three shutouts.

SERIES PROMOTIONS: SENIOR WEEKEND! WEAR RED! Fans in attendance will receive a 2026 UNLV softball schedule poster all weekend. Additionally, Smoken Sam's will offer $5 select beers on Friday and $3 hot dogs on Saturday. Following each game, fans in attendance have the opportunity to get autographs from their favorite Rebels.
 
On Thursday, the Rebels will be raising awareness about mental health and will have speciality green Mental Health rally towels.
 
On Friday, fans will receive a special In-State Showdown rally towel for the Silver State Series. In support of the Rebels Empower Community Service Event, we have partnered with Noah's Animal House during the final series. Bring donation items like paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, or canned pet food, and receive discounted entry to Friday's game. Your donation helps provide safe shelter for pets while their families find safety.
 
On Saturday, following the conclusion of the game, UNLV will hold its senior ceremony for seniors: Keyannah Chavez, Diamond Sefe, Maddie Scott, Natalie Turner, Amelia Weber and Bri Williams.
 
TICKETS: Single-game tickets are $6 in advance and at the game $10 for adults and $8 for seniors, faculty and staff.Kids under 12, Nevada High School students with their high school ID, UNLV students are free at all home contests.
 
LAST TIME ON THE FIELD: The UNLV softball team's seventh inning rally came up short as the Scarlet & Gray fell 4-2 in the series finale against Grand Canyon on a windy Sunday afternoon at GCU Softball Stadium. The Lopes took the series 2-1 against the Rebels. For the series, Mantha Hatzenbeller batted a combined .500 (4-for-8) including a double, home run and two RBI. Keyannah Chavez batted a combined .429 (3-for-7) for the series. She had a home run and an RBI. Chavez is now on a 19-game reached base streak. Lauren Fettic went 1-1 in the circle for the Rebels against the Lopes. She pitched 15.0 innings and struck out a combined 18 batters. Fettic had a combined ERA of 2.80.

NEXT SERIES: The Rebels will head to Reno for the MW Softball Championships beginning Wednesday, May 6.
